A 2026 perspective on partnership
Updated August 2026. We wrote this back in 2020, and the way software gets built has changed a great deal since then — AI-assisted development is now part of every serious team’s toolkit, ours included. What has not changed is why people choose to work with us: judgement. Tools can generate code quickly, but deciding what to build, what to leave out and how to make it maintainable, secure and fit for purpose still comes down to experience.
