08 / Partner ecosystem

Specialist partners broaden what we can deliver.

Our established partner organisations add UK operational depth and offshore engineering scale to the direct specialist network – without increasing fixed overheads for every client.

Assemblysoft remains the accountable delivery partner

Independent partner workforces complement our directly engaged team. Their involvement is explicitly agreed and controlled for each client engagement.

Offshore engineering partners

Additional capacity through established partners
40PARTNER ENGINEERS
  • Additional engineering capacityEngineering support for agreed programmes and peaks
  • Specialist technologiesNiche expertise for complex technical requirements
  • Parallel workstreamsScoped development, QA, integrations and delivery
  • Flexible delivery optionsAdditional resourcing by location and project needs
Separate partner capacity, by agreement: The 70 UK support staff and 40 offshore engineers belong to our partner organisations, not to Assemblysoft's employee headcount. Named availability, pricing, location, security, scope and service levels are agreed before deployment. Neither pool is automatically dedicated to a client engagement.

09 / Quality & continuity

Flexible resourcing. Consistent engineering standards.

The benefits of a specialist network depend on management discipline – the same controls are applied regardless of employment or contracting status.

1

One accountable supplier

Assemblysoft owns delivery governance, progress, quality and the client relationship.

2

Named leads & cover

A project lead, engineering ownership, escalation and deputies are agreed for the assignment.

3

Controlled access

Individual accounts, least privilege, confidentiality obligations and agreed data locations.

4

Client-controlled assets

Repositories, documentation, credentials and environments remain under agreed client ownership/control.

5

Reviewed changes

Peer review, automated testing, build gates, traceability and risk-based release approvals.

6

Documented knowledge

Architecture records, runbooks, handovers, continuity plans and replacement-resource onboarding.

Continuity is engineered into documentation, shared systems and substitution arrangements – not based on assuming one individual will always be available.

10 / Managed support

Support when your business needs it.

Choose business-hours care, 24/6 or 24/7 engineering support. Each option is built around the application risk, required response times and the agreed operational scope.

Standard option

Business-hours care

Maintenance, defect resolution, monitoring and scheduled engineering during agreed working hours.

Extended cover

24/6 engineering cover

Continuous cover for six defined days, including out-of-hours incident escalation and recovery.

Full-week cover

24/7 engineering cover

Round-the-clock cover across all seven days for systems requiring uninterrupted response capability.

How it works: Both 24/6 and 24/7 are available as separately scoped managed-support options, subject to agreed coverage hours, named rota and fallback resources, incident priorities, response targets, exclusions, commercial terms and tested service readiness. Release and rollback support are planned into the operating model. Neither extended service is automatically included in a development engagement. Explore managed support.

11 / Selected delivery

Legacy takeover to operational SaaS.

Example engagement: a construction-services application moved from ageing technology to a modern operational platform.

ScafTek 2.0 / Construction operations

An established Classic ASP / IIS and SQL Server estate was assessed and taken over. We then led the architecture and development of a modern Blazor and Azure platform, remaining involved in ongoing evolution and operation.

  • Planning, jobs and team allocation
  • Lorry loading, vehicles and live maps
  • Customer portals, quoting and invoicing
  • Inspections, H&S and mobile workflows

12 / More relevant experience

Production delivery, proof of concept and advisory work.

We distinguish the nature of an engagement so clients can assess relevance without overstating the evidence.

Proof of concept

Warehouse ordering

Azure event-driven architecture for a large UK retailer: Azure Functions, Durable Functions, Service Bus, API Management and SQL services. Developed and load-tested as a POC; not a production 24/6 contract.

Advisory

Engineering experience

Business-critical systems

Technical leadership and engineering contributions across insurance, public sector, energy/IoT, pharmaceuticals, warehouse/distribution and high-availability applications.

Client names, detailed case studies and references are provided where the applicable client has authorised disclosure.

13 / Credentials & assurance

14 / Answers before the proposal

The questions we would rather answer now.

We surface material details early so you can judge whether we are the right fit before investing time in lengthy procurement. If your question is not here, ask us – a real person will reply.

Company & people

Only two permanent employees?

Yes, and we state it plainly. Our two permanent employees provide organisational continuity and oversight. They are supported by established self-employed leadership and a wider specialist engineering network. That is what keeps us small enough to know your business, and flexible enough to bring in the right expertise for each project.

Is everyone shown in your team structure employed by Assemblysoft?

No. Independent professionals and contractors are identified openly and their status is disclosed, not disguised. Names in the wider network are not automatic assignments: project-specific hours, deputies and named commitments are confirmed with you before an engagement begins.

Will I deal with senior people, or be passed to a junior team?

You will have accessible senior people throughout. A named delivery lead, engineering owner and escalation route are agreed for your assignment, and we communicate proactively rather than waiting to be asked. Being known, heard and personally cared for is the point of how we are set up.

Why choose a smaller company rather than a large supplier?

A large supplier can offer scale, often at the cost of attention. We offer both: the personal commitment of a founder-led UK team, with a specialist network behind it for breadth and capacity. You get senior judgement and niche skills without paying for a large fixed workforce, and we aim to feel like an extension of your own team.

How we deliver

Who do we contract with?

Assemblysoft Ltd (company no. 07098083), a single contracting party. We remain responsible for project governance, delivery quality and every specialist we manage on your behalf, under one agreed governance, security and quality framework.

What does the principal-contractor model mean in practice?

Much like a construction firm coordinating specialist trades, we own the delivery relationship while assembling the right capability for the work. We lead and govern, select and mobilise the right people for scope, technology, timing and location, then deliver and transfer with code reviews, testing, release control, documentation and handover.

Do you only do rescue work or managed services?

No. New product development is central to what we do. We build bespoke SaaS, internal platforms, client portals, mobile apps and integrations from concept through to a supported release, as well as modernising, taking over, supporting and independently auditing existing systems.

How do you decide who works on my project?

We select the team to fit the project. Before mobilisation we agree named roles, available capacity, proposed substitutes, UK or international participation, access permissions, milestones and acceptance criteria. Every specialist works within Assemblysoft's delivery framework.

What commercial options are available?

Fixed scope or milestone, time and materials, a managed support retainer, or an agreed capacity block. We will talk through which suits the risk and shape of your project.

Location, continuity & ownership

Can the work stay UK-based?

A UK-only delivery model can be scoped, subject to the required specialists, availability and confirmed commitments.

Do you use international engineers?

Yes, selectively, and only with your agreement on location, system access, confidentiality and the relevant data safeguards. No customer inherits a new geography, third-party resource or support commitment without an explicit agreement.

What happens if someone becomes unavailable?

Continuity is engineered in rather than assumed. Substitutes, handovers, runbooks and resource continuity are agreed in proportion to the criticality of the work, supported by documentation, shared systems and replacement-resource onboarding.

Who owns the code and the knowledge?

IP and licensing are agreed in the contract. We favour transferable, documented, client-controlled assets: repositories, documentation, credentials and environments remain under agreed client ownership or control.

How do you keep access to our systems secure?

Individual accounts, least-privilege access, confidentiality obligations and agreed data locations apply to everyone, whatever their employment or contracting status. Changes are peer-reviewed, tested and released through build gates with risk-based approvals.

Partners & support

You mention 70 UK support staff and 40 offshore engineers. Are they your employees?

No. Those are the staff of our established partner organisations, not Assemblysoft's employee headcount. Their involvement is explicitly agreed and controlled for each engagement, and neither pool is automatically dedicated to your project. Named availability, pricing, location, security, scope and service levels are agreed before deployment.

Can you provide 24/6 or 24/7 support?

Yes. Both are available as tailored, separately scoped managed-support services, with agreed SLAs, a contracted rota, resilience cover and tested escalation. Neither extended service is automatically included in a development engagement. Business-hours care is also available.

Can you take over an application from another supplier?

Yes. We replace an outgoing supplier through discovery, structured knowledge transfer, build and release verification and a managed transition. Our ScafTek 2.0 engagement is an example: we assessed and took over a Classic ASP / IIS and SQL Server estate, then led its move to a modern Blazor and Azure platform.

Credentials & honesty

Which certifications do you hold?

We distinguish carefully between what is held, what is verified and what is being pursued. Cyber Essentials Plus has been achieved at organisation level, with verification evidence available. Our Microsoft Partner Center organisation is verified, and we are working towards the Solutions Partner designation for Cloud and AI Platforms. ISO 27001 is at the certification-planning stage, and we are ICO registered.

Can I see client references and case studies?

Client names, detailed case studies and references are provided where the applicable client has authorised disclosure. We also separate production delivery from proof-of-concept and advisory work, so you can judge relevance without the evidence being overstated.

Can I see insurance, contracts and company documents?

Yes. Current insurance evidence, company registration, engagement terms, confidentiality and IP provisions are available during appropriate due diligence. Our Trust and Compliance Centre answers the most common supplier questions up front.
