Why it is different here

Software for events, media & print: what we have learned

Events and print businesses work to immovable deadlines with a workforce that changes every week. Casual crew need onboarding, availability, shift confirmation and pay transparency on their phones. Venues, suppliers and print hubs need tasks and assets tracked across sites. And all of it has to work on the day, because there is no second show.

We built Callsheet, crew operations software for live events that brings casual staff onboarding, availability, shift confirmation, pay transparency and training compliance into one cross-platform app; delivered ShackEvents, a modern events management SaaS with a cross-platform mobile application; and architected and developed a Microsoft Cloud global print management system for IPP, managing people, tasks and assets across hubs on Azure and Blazor.

The common thread is real-time coordination from one codebase: web for the office, mobile for the crew and the floor, and an Azure back end that is monitored through every show day and supported under an SLA.

The pressure points

What makes events, media & print software hard

The problems we are usually called about. If two of these sound familiar, the conversation is worth having.

A workforce that changes weekly

Casual crew need onboarding, right-to-work and training compliance, availability and confirmation without a phone call for each.

No second show

The system has to work on the day, on a phone, in a venue with poor signal, and a failure is visible to the client and the audience.

Tasks and assets across sites

Print hubs, venues and suppliers each track their own jobs and kit. The business needs one view.

Pay transparency

Crew want to see hours, rates and what they will be paid before they accept a shift, and finance wants the same numbers.

What we build and run

Our answer, in events, media & print

Built on .NET, Blazor and Azure by a UK team with Microsoft-certified engineers, and supported under a written SLA once it is live.

Crew operations platforms

Onboarding, availability, shift confirmation, pay transparency and training compliance in one cross-platform app, built on .NET.

02

Events management SaaS

Multi-tenant events platforms with a cross-platform mobile application, client portals and real-time updates, hosted on Azure.

03

Print and hub management

Global print management for people, tasks and assets on Azure and Blazor, with a single view across hubs.

04

Built for show day

Offline-tolerant mobile apps, monitored Azure back ends and a rehearsed on-call route, so the day runs even when the signal does not.

The stack

Technology we use for events, media & print

One Microsoft stack, end to end, so there is one team to call and no hand-off gap in an incident.

Questions we are asked

Events, media & print software: frequently asked questions

Can crew use the app on any phone, including offline in a venue?

Yes. .NET MAUI Blazor Hybrid delivers iOS and Android apps from the same codebase as the web application, with offline-tolerant storage and synchronisation for venues with poor signal.

Can you integrate with our payroll, accounting or ticketing systems?

Yes. Shift, hours and rate data flow to payroll and accounting through monitored integrations, and event data can be synchronised with ticketing and CRM platforms.

Is this a product or bespoke development?

Bespoke, built to your operation, on patterns we have delivered before. That gives you a system that fits without paying to build the basics from nothing.

How do you support us on show days?

Monitoring and alerting on the Azure back end, a rehearsed on-call route to a named engineer, severity-based response times in a written SLA and a monthly service report. See managed application support.

We already have an events app built by another developer. Can you take it over?

Yes. Discovery produces a written assessment and risk register, onboarding adds monitoring, tests and runbooks, and then a named team supports it. If it was built with AI tools, see our vibe-coding rescue service.
