The beautiful tip of the iceberg
Most of what we build you'll never see. This is the part you can.
We built TradeYoke, a live field-service platform for window cleaners, gardeners, electricians, plumbers and solar installers, from one .NET codebase across web, iOS, Android and Windows. The same engineering is available for your own trade or franchise platform.
A trade business runs from a van. The diary, the customer list, the quote, the certificate and the invoice all have to work on a phone with no signal, and the money has to arrive without the owner chasing it at the kitchen table on a Sunday night. Generic job-management tools get close and then stop at the point where the trade is different: the rain-day reshuffle for a window cleaner, the EICR for an electrician, the landlord gas safety record for a plumber, the MCS handover pack for a solar installer.
That is why we built TradeYoke: a shared core of customers, scheduling, quotes, invoices and payments, with trade-specific modules on top, shaped by the people who use them. Window cleaning and gardening are live; electricians, plumbers and gas engineers, and solar installers are in pilot. It runs offline-first on mobile, syncs with conflict resolution when the signal returns, takes payment by Stripe and GoCardless, posts to Xero, QuickBooks or FreeAgent with read-back verification, and files VAT through HMRC Making Tax Digital.
For franchises, buying groups and trade businesses that need their own platform, the same engineering applies: one Blazor codebase for every device, an Azure back end that is monitored around the clock, and a named team supporting it under a written SLA.
The problems we are usually called about. If two of these sound familiar, the conversation is worth having.
The job sheet, the photos and the certificate have to be captured in a basement or a field and sync later without losing or duplicating anything.
Work finishes, the invoice goes out days later, and chasing it costs the evening. Every day between completion and payment is money the business is lending its customers.
EICs and EICRs, gas safety records, MCS data sheets and commissioning certificates each have their own format, expiry and audience. A generic form does not pass.
Recurring rounds fill the diary, but a rainy day or a sick crew member reshuffles everything, and customers expect a message rather than a no-show.
Built on .NET, Blazor and Azure by a UK team with Microsoft-certified engineers, and supported under a written SLA once it is live.
Day, week, month and list diaries, recurring rounds, drag-and-drop rescheduling, nearest-first day plans and live crew tracking, colour-coded by trade.
Branded PDF quotes from a catalogue, online accept or decline, immutable numbered invoices with pay links, Stripe and GoCardless collection, and a morning who-owes-me digest with automatic reminders.
Invoices and payments synced to Xero, QuickBooks or FreeAgent with read-back verification, receipts read from photos, mileage from stops, and VAT filed through HMRC Making Tax Digital.
One Blazor codebase delivers the web app and native iOS, Android and Windows apps, working without signal and syncing with conflict resolution, with roles, two-factor authentication and an audit trail on every action.
TradeYoke is Assemblysoft's own product, designed, built and operated by the same team that delivers client work. It is the clearest evidence of how we engineer for the trades: a modular platform where each trade is a module on a shared core, shipped to every device from one .NET codebase and run on Azure with the monitoring and release discipline we apply to every client system.
It is live today with a free plan and a 30-day trial. Explore the platform, the features and the trade modules on tradeyoke.net, or read the engineering case study for how it was built.
Systems we have built, taken over and moved forward for organisations like yours. Full write-ups on each page, and reference conversations on request.
One Microsoft stack, end to end, so there is one team to call and no hand-off gap in an incident.
TradeYoke and the platforms we build on the same pattern keep card and bank details with Stripe and GoCardless rather than in the application, hold credentials in Azure Key Vault, enforce two-factor authentication and action-level permissions, and record an audit trail of who did what. Customer and certificate data is held on Azure in UK/EEA regions under our published UK GDPR Article 28 DPA, with Cyber Essentials Plus and our security policies in the Trust Centre.
Yes. TradeYoke is live at tradeyoke.net with a free plan and a 30-day trial of the Essentials tier with no card required. Window cleaning and gardening modules are live; electricians, plumbers and gas engineers, and solar installers are in pilot and you can register interest on the trades page.
Yes. TradeYoke's core (customers, scheduling, quotes, invoices, payments) is shared, and each trade is a module shaped with the people who use it. If your work is round-based it can usually run today; if it needs its own certificates, workflows or branding, we build that as a module or as your own platform.
Yes. The mobile apps are offline-first: the diary, job sheets, photos and certificates are captured on the device and changes queue and sync with conflict resolution when the signal returns.
Stripe for card payments and GoCardless for Direct Debit, with webhook-based automatic reconciliation. Bookkeeping syncs to Xero, QuickBooks or FreeAgent with read-back verification, and VAT can be filed through HMRC Making Tax Digital via a Government Gateway connection.
Roles and view, add, edit and delete permissions on every action, two-factor authentication with Google or Microsoft Authenticator, an audit trail of who did what, and data held on Azure in UK/EEA regions. Card and bank details never touch the application.
Whether you want to run your business on TradeYoke today or need your own platform for a franchise or a trade we do not cover yet, tell us how the work happens on site and we will show you how the software should follow it.
